The Loko Committee would like to notify all club members that the 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be on Saturday 2 December at the Iron Duke Hotel, from 2.00pm.
This is the meeting where we elect the committee for the upcoming season. Sadly the Committee wish to confirm that Donal (Treasurer 2017) has decided to step down in 2018. The Committee would like to thank Donal Brady for his efforts this year. Due to this move the Treasurer position is Vacant and needs to be filled. We will also open all other committee positions for re-election and always welcome any player who would like to volunteer their time to help run the club.
It’s not a long meeting, and we’ll put a few beers on for those that come along.
There are some important things that the committee want all players to be aware of:
- Firstly, we require ALL teams wishing to enter the 2018 competition to send a minimum of 2 players to attend the AGM. Failure to attend the AGM will be taken to mean that team does not wish to enter the 2018 season.
- As in 2017, in addition to committee members, we are also looking for volunteers for 2018. Volunteers really support the day to day operations such as the canteen. Profits were up due to all the help we received. Thank you and keep it up!
Volunteers were a success in the 2017 year, the Committee thank you and hope to see more faces sparing a few hours over the 2018 year. Some of the duties that you can help us with include:
- Season equipment move in and out
- Opening up the sheds on game days
- Staffing the canteen
- Closing the pitch
As ever we are committed to the long term survival and success of the club but now we need your help to make this a possibility.
